Letter to Neighbors
Dear La Honda community neighbors
We offer our deepest apologies for the noise and discomfort we’ve created. We have contacted at least 8 of the neighbors within the 2 mile radius prior to the event. The sound was tested and we did not expect it to travel further than 2 miles away.
We were mistaken and we learned. The fog allowed the sound to travel much further. In response,
we will have certified acoustical engineers involved to reduce sound flow and create sound barriers at our future events, and make any arrangements needed to bring you peace and comfort, including the notification of the community well in advance.
Red Marines Music and Arts Festival is an environmentally and people friendly event .
We are sure we can work on this together and be respectful to each other. After all it is a great cause we’re all serving - helping our own Veterans in need.
